"The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the 'devil' only in order to drive the 'TV watcher' to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US and the lobbyists for the US war on terrorism are only interested in making money." --Pierre-Henry Bunel, en tidligere agent for Fransk militær etterretning. • "Shortly before his untimely death, former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook told the House of Commons that "Al Qaeda" is not really a terrorist group but a database of international mujaheddin and arms smugglers used by the CIA and Saudis to funnel guerrillas, arms, and money into Soviet-occupied Afghanistan. [rediger] Al-Qaida Israel: Ett Mossad-selskap

2002-12-09: Israeli agents accused of creating fake al-Qaeda cell (www.smh.com.au) "The head of preventive security in Gaza, Rashid Abu Shbak, said Israeli agents posing as operatives of al-Qaeda recruited Palestinians in the Gaza Strip."

Then, in one of the conversations, Ahmed said he was working for Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaida organization, and Ibrahim was meant to be one of its organizers in northern Gaza since the group already had an infrastructure in the south.

(..)

The two never met, but at a certain point during their telephone contact, Ibrahim became suspicious. He contacted a preventive security officer in Gaza and told him the whole story. The officer looked into the matter and told Ibrahim that Ahmed was an Israeli Shin Bet agent, and Ibrahim should immediately cut off any contacts with him.

    • "KUWAIT CITY (AP) — Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview published Sunday that he doubts the existence of al-Qaeda, the terror group blamed for the Sept. 11 attacks and recent strikes in Saudi Arabia and Morocco."

  • 2004-08-19: Al Qaeda does not exist and never has +
    • "The basic truth is that Al Qaeda does not exist and never has. Al Qaeda is a manufactured enemy who was created by the Bush Administration in order to have an excuse to wage a war for the control of the world's oil resources."
  • 2004-10-15: The making of the terror myth
    • "The latter, it argues, is not an organised international network. It does not have members or a leader. It does not have "sleeper cells". It does not have an overall strategy. In fact, it barely exists at all, except as an idea about cleansing a corrupt world through religious violence."

"Millions of people have been misled regarding the causes and consequences of September 11.

When people across the US and around the World find out that Al Qaeda is not an outside enemy but a creation of US foreign policy and the CIA, the legitimacy of the bipartisan war agenda will tumble like a deck of cards."

Across the land, the image of an "outside enemy" is instilled in the consciousness of Americans. Al Qaeda is threatening America and the world. The repeal of democracy under the Patriot legislation is portrayed as a means to providing "domestic security" and upholding civil liberties.

The 9/11 Commission Report destroys the historical record of US covert support to international terrorism, while creating the illusion that America and "Western Civilization" are threatened. In turn, the various terrorist warnings and code orange alerts have created, across America, an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.

    • Referring to his meeting with an unnamed al-Qaeda expert at the Rand Corporation, a nonprofit research organization in the U.S., Shebarshin said: “We have agreed that [al-Qaeda] is not a group but a notion.”
    • “The fight against that all-mighty ubiquitous myth deliberately linked to Islam is of great advantage for the Americans as it targets the oil-rich Muslim regions,” Shebarshin emphasized.
  • 2005-08-01: There is no Terrorist Organization Called Al Qaida +
    • "Why not CIA makes the September 11 attacks? This is a very cheap war now and one side is shown as Al Qaida and the other is the entire world. This is very nonsense, because the attacks of the organization has great effects even it is reshaping the world but there is no traitors to the organization, money does not have any influence on it, no intelligence could be gathered about it. Why? Because there is no organization called Al Quaida."
  • 2005-08-04: Al-Qaeda, a Secret Service Operation?
    • "Amid the smoke from the fortuitous fire emerged the possibility that al-Qaeda may not be, strictly speaking, an organization but an element of an intelligence agency operation. Turkish intelligence specialists agree that there is no such organization as al-Qaeda. Rather, Al-Qaeda is the name of a secret service operation. The concept “fighting terror” is the background of the “low-intensity-warfare” conducted in the mono-polar world order. The subject of this strategy of tension is named as “al-Qaeda.”"
  • 2005-09-12: Branding Iraq with al-Qaida +
    • "With every passing Iraqi death we lose another piece of our humanity. How can we or Washington justify the mass murder of thousands?"
    • "The desperate attempt of government officials to brand the Iraqi insurgency with al-Qaida is part of a deliberate misinformation campaign aimed at dissuading the American public from demanding an end to the Iraq war."
    • "“Branding” is a sophisticated form of mind control that involves the manufacture of public perceptions to achieve predetermined objectives. Normally, branding is employed to sell a product or service to consumers by associating it with positive images. For instance, when I think of Nike, Michael Jordan is the first thing that pops into my mind. And who wouldn’t want to be like Mike? By successfully branding its product with one of the most revered sports heroes of all time, Nike has virtually guaranteed an endless stream of semiconscious consumers wandering into the nearest Foot Locker to buy new pairs of $100 shoes."
